Population growth is the change in a population over time.

Interesting facts:

  1. The world population has experienced continuous growth since the end of the Great Famine and the Black Death in 1350, when it stood at around 370 million.
  2. Population growth 1800-2011: from 1 billion to 7 billion estimated in 31.10.2011.
  3. According to UN's 2010 revision to its population projections, world population will peak at 10.1bn in 2100 compared to 7bn in 2011.
